The Nest - Premier Nanny Agency places part and full-time nannies, travel nannies, household assistants and Newborn Care Specialists throughout the United States.  We take the time to learn your family's specific needs so we can make the best, most personalized placements possible.  We only work with the best of the best in caregivers and household staffers.  We require all of our potential candidates to pass through our rigorous screening process, including a thorough background check and we personally verify all references. 

Nannies are professional caregivers who are responsible for providing excellent child care, performing child related tasks and upkeep of child care areas of the home.  

Travel Nannies are professional caregivers who travel with families for up to 12 weeks at a time to locations all over the country and the world, providing a high standard of care for children whether it be on a tour bus, in a hotel or in a rental property while the family travels for work or recreation.

Household Assistants (also known as nanny managers) are an integral part of making sure that the household runs smoothly by providing excellent child care, as well as management of the home (including management of household staff, organizing household schedules, planning trips and other services as requested by families).

Newborn Care Specialists provide excellent care for new babies, as well as support families during the transition of welcoming in a new member of the family.  They generally undergo specialized training in the field to be able to provide this exceptional care. These specialized caregivers often provide overnight care, working in 12 or 24 hour shifts during baby's first year of life.  

We ask all of our potential families to fill out our in-depth application that gives us a good insight into what you are searching for, then we schedule a 30 minute zoom (or FaceTime) call so that we may truly get a feel for your family's needs.  Once we have all of the information we need, we collect an engagement fee to begin our extensive search for the perfect fit for your family.  We will present you with comprehensive profiles of top candidates that meet your guidelines and we do all of the coordinating to set up video interviews and subsequent work trials with your top picks.  Once your family has settled on a candidate, we work with you on creating a job offer - including providing you with a customizable household employee contract, salary recommendations and options for tax and payroll services to utilize, if requested.  Placement fees are not due until your future employee has accepted the position.  We are always here to answer any questions or field any concerns you may have and we offer a 90 day guarantee of satisfaction (at any time within the first 90 days of placement, if you feel your initial choice isn't a good fit, we will work to replace that candidate with someone who is a better fit - if we are unable to find a suitable replacement, we will offer a 50% refund of the placement fees). 

We are proud to work with the best of the best in the child care and household staffing world!  While we are happy to help with guidance on pay for your future household employee and understand that each family is different, we advocate for our caregivers to be paid at rates that are commensurate with their experience, education and skill level.  

• $20/hr minimum for nannies (going rate, depending on the area, is between $20-35+/hr with higher rates generally reserved for positions with additional expectations such as household management/personal assistant tasks and/or caregivers with exceptional levels of experience and/or education)

• $22/hr minimum for specialized travel nannies (travel nannies are also required to be compensated for a minimum number of hours per day of travel, as well as receive a flat fee for each overnight of travel that child care is not required - or hourly pay if child care is required through the night)

• $25/hr minimum for Newborn Care Specialists (general going rate is $25-40+/hr)

Prior to Placement:

• Initial Engagement Fee - $275 (nonrefundable)

Placement Fees:

• Full or Part-time Newborn Care Specialist - $4,500
• Full-time Nanny or Household Assistant (over 30 hrs/wk) - $4,000
• Part-time Nanny or Household Assistant  (under 30 hrs/wk) - $3,500
• Temporary Nanny or Household Assistant  (3 to 6 months) FT or PT - $2,750
• Babysitting/Sick Care/Ultra Short Term (under 12 weeks) - $30/day for 1 day placement or $30/day for multi-day placement (up to 12 weeks of care)
